Hi! I'm Melanie Guerra, a 26-year-old professional photographer and journalist from Guatemala, in love with nature and the mysticism of the universe.
In 2023, I moved to Lake Atitlán from my hometown in search of a slower, more meaningful lifestyle, one that would allow me to develop my art and creativity.
Now, I’m grateful to say that my work has evolved through projects that sparks my passion, especially in documentary photography and the beauty of portraiture.
Through my lens, I seek to capture authentic human stories, emotions, and cultural identity with a delicate and wholesome touch, inviting myself and others into a space of appreciation.

For major projects, I've collaborated with travel organizations like The Labyrinth on spiritual and community retreats, contributed to ecotourism initiatives with Happy People, worked alongside local artisans through Casa Flor, and participated in women's collectives such as Artistas Latinas as a Central America Visual Artist, and much more!
